Your learning outcomes
A clear account of the knowledge and skills the programme is designed to develop.
Certification & credentials
Defined outcomes. Meaningful assessment. A clear record of what you have learned and created.
The direction we are building
XR Academy is developing a model for assessed learning and portable digital credentials, informed by European micro-credential principles.
In development. Credential issuing and public verification are not yet active. This page describes the intended model; final requirements and availability will be published before enrolment.
Programme completion credential
Illustrative credential design — not an issued award.
Credential model in development.
What you receive
The initial model is intended to recognise successful programme completion with one overall credential.
A clear account of the knowledge and skills the programme is designed to develop.
Information about the assessment and the requirements you successfully completed.
A digital credential intended to be portable and verifiable, so others can understand the achievement.
Individual course credentials and stackable credentials may be added later. They are not currently promised for every course.
What you complete
For a credential-bearing programme, learners will need to satisfy its stated completion and assessment requirements.
Specific tasks, workload, assessment thresholds and any resubmission arrangements will be confirmed for each programme.
How assessment works
Assessment should match the learning outcomes and the nature of the practice.
Understand what you need to demonstrate before you start.
Complete the assessment specified for your programme.
Receive the assessment result and any feedback included in the learning format.
Inside the credential
The intended credential record brings the achievement and its context together.
Verification & portability
The goal is a credential that can be shared with a reliable way to check its issuer, integrity and status.
When issuing is introduced, learners will receive instructions for accessing, sharing and verifying their credential. The verification method and supported formats will be published at that time.
A relevant standard for representing learning achievements and their supporting information.
About Open BadgesA standards framework for digital claims that can be checked for authenticity and integrity.
Read the W3C overviewPrinciples for transparent descriptions of short learning experiences and their outcomes.
European approachThese standards, together with Europass and European digital credential concepts, inform the development direction. No conformance certification, Europass integration, EU recognition or formal accreditation is claimed.
Professional value
A detailed learning record can support a portfolio, a professional conversation or further learning. It explains the work behind the achievement.
Employers and educational institutions decide how they use a credential. An XR Academy credential does not automatically confer academic credit, a regulated qualification or professional status.
Our focus is on making the learning, assessment and awarding organisation clear.
Quality by design
The intended internal quality process is part of how the learning offer is being developed.
Set learning outcomes and organise content around them.
Use appropriate assessment and instructor or expert review.
Gather learner feedback and periodically review the programme internally.
This is an internal quality approach. External quality assurance or official accreditation has not been confirmed.
